“This is not just about eating well, its’ about a healthy relationship with food and your body. The things parents inadvertently do, the influence of social media and peers can all create confusion and body dissatisfaction. Anxiety about appearance is on the rise and it’s vital we teach kids how to handle this with their self -esteem and healthy behaviours intact.”
Lisa Renn, Accredited Practising Dietitian
For the past 19 years Lisa has been working with adults who struggle with dieting, poor body image and an unhealthy relationship with food. It is her driving passion to help young people avoid this outcome, which is a challenge, given the focus on appearance is more present than ever and social media and the internet skewing what is normal in regard to eating, food and body shape.
Lisa is obsessed by the need to educate children about body acceptance, avoiding diets and adopting healthy eating and exercise habits, so that in the future they may enjoy food and movement and never have known a struggle with poor body image and dieting.
Creating diet proof kids who have the knowledge and savvy to navigate the internet and social media with their body image and healthy behaviours still intact is what Lisa and her programs are all about.

“Lots of wisdom in this book. Wise words about the futility of dieting and the mess it does to your mind and body. More wisdom about the need for realistic expectations at all ages plus some brilliant ways to deal positively with problems related to food and eating. I heartily recommend this book.”
